How it began
Initially this project started as a joke with my purchase of monke.co.nz. It quickly moved onto an eCommerce site when I ordered 300 masks from Alibaba.
The business has since taken off with approximately $10k+ revenue in the last 6 months and has been where I have learned and perfected my skills in online marketing and web design
How it went
Managed from home, I have been able to:
- Build, design and implement a fully functioning e-commerce website using WooCommerce, WordPress and Oxygen Builder. Integrated with Trade Me and many other plugins to create a fulfilled and unique experience for customers.
- Designed a profitable financial model that has generated a substantial profit from masks sourced from China at bulk price.
- Created and maintained a ROAS of 300% with Google Ads to boost revenue and gain more customers
- Implemented Google Analytics Tracking and conversion tracking to better understand consumer preferences, finding areas for improvement such as site speed and customer journey improvements.
- Created a robust SEO model to support conversions, however found display ads, not search were more effective as our audience weren't searching for our product but are interested once they knew it existed.
