Work as the Marketing and Support Officer for CANZ
Marketing and Support Officer
In this role I have used my skills in marketing and IT to better automate and digitalize this association. This reduction in administration and support has allowed the organization to gain more members, reach a wider audience and engage with people more.
Throughout my time in my role, I have:
- Created with support of the CEO, a strategic marketing plan with communication pillars to support our messaging strategy.
- Worked closely with the governance council to fulfil tasks and actions from meetings. I have also gained experience as a minute taker.
- Improved and redesigned our communication model, increasing our email subscriber list by 50% in 6 months with reach on other platforms growing as well.
- Redesigned the CANZ website to be more functional and integrated with the custom CRM I built.
- Redesigned and built a fully integrated database CRM with Knack that can sync in with Xero and Mailchimp using Zapier to provide a fully customized and fit for purpose CRM. This also digitized most of the internal data and reporting dashboards were created to make real time reporting to the CEO and Council possible.
- Worked with external stakeholders such as member companies, suppliers, related associations, and government agencies understanding their needs and getting necessary resources for CANZ to support its projects.
- Assisted in coordination of the national crane conference in conjunction with an event organizer to successfully deliver and plan 2, 250 person+ conferences.
- Built a PWA (Progressive Web App) to be used for crane operators across New Zealand. Developed, designed and marketed by me. Check it out at install.page/mycanz
- Successfully launched a campaign to help bring trainees into the crane industry, identifying a pipeline that can be used to bring more operators in from overseas.
